The Pyjama Men were one of the highlights of the Sydney Comedy festival, but I missed them the first time around. Luckily, they're back in Sydney for one show of insanity.

After a few months of looking we finally bought a new place. Tucked away in a quiet part of the inner west, it's the perfect combination of being close to everything, but not too busy.

Animation Mentor has started up again. I'm in Class 5 - Advanced Acting, where we get to add lip synch and facial expressions into our work. Looking forward to another term of hard work and fun.

Gomez - one of only two bands my wife and I agree are brilliant, and given The Beatles aren't in any position to reform and tour Australia, this is definitely the next best thing.

SIGGRAPH 2009 Animation Reel part 2 is being screened at the College of Fine Arts in Paddington, Wed Sept 2nd at 7pm. Based on what I saw in the first part of the reel, there should be some interesting short films in here.

The Sydney International Animation Festival is on again. Saturday to Sunday, Sept 4th and 5th at the University of Technology Sydney. This year features some live Q&A sessions with Clare Kitson and others.

SIGGRAPH 2009 Animation Reel part 1 is being screened at the College of Fine Arts in Paddington, Wed Aug 19th at 7pm. Looking forward to some great short films from around the world, plus some technical demonstrations.

I'm going to a trapeze lesson! Turns out a friend was given two tickets as a gift, and his partner "conveniently" can't attend. He would not accept overwhelming fear and dread as a valid excuse.

August in Sydney means it's time to join the world's largest footrace: the City2Surf. It will be interesting to see if I can beat my personal best of 74 minutes.

Another movie in the Chauvel Cinema's Savage Psychedelic Nights series: Pink Floyd The Wall. I've never seen it before, but I'm a fan of the music so this should be a real treat.

Quentin Tarantino is coming to Australia! He's screening his own personal copy of 80's Ozploitation flick: Dark Age followed by a live Q&A with the stars.

I had tickets, but I just found out that Jane's Addiction cancelled their Australian tour! That's twice I've missed out on seeing them. Once in Philadelphia, and now once in Sydney.

Heading out on Sunday to see Judith Lucy at the Sydney Opera House. Should be hilarious, in that painful "I'm glad that's not my family" kind of way.

I've never seen David Lynch's Blue Velvet on the big screen, but on Friday July 24 I'll get my chance. Dennis Hopper - you definitely are a freak.

My wife and I went to Canberra on the weekend to check out the Vanity Fair exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. Some brilliant work in here, including lots of Helmut Newton and Annie Leibovitz.

An international team of animators and artists has decided to create an animated version of George Romero's 1968 classic zombie film. I made a 2D flash submission in June 2009.

Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated is scheduled for a Fall 2009 release in the USA.
